Ministry and Prayer

Pastor Hajimu Fujii shared this:

Recently, a Japanese man who had lived in the US for 23 years.

He fell into a coma because his blood sugar went up to 1200 while he was living in a mission shelter for a month. He lost everything when he was hospitalized.  He lost his Japanese passport which had expired long ago and had no SS number or visa. I contacted with Japanese Consulate General.  And he was able to recover his identity.  After he believed in Jesus, he returned to Japan.

Pastor Yuji Uno shared this:

I wrote about my seeker friend sharing the Gospel with his customers. I went to see him yesterday and this is his update.
So far two of his customers asked for “Jesus” video. And still two others asked for Gideons bi-lingual New Testament. He told me he does not give these unless they ask for them. I think he is wise not to force things on people.
A week ago, he himself started watching “Jesus” video every night. He watches Japanese  language version and English language version alternately. So far he watched 7 times. He says he is finding something new every time he watches.
He says he is doing video fasting. I asked him to explain fasting. He says he normally watches different videos. But this last week, he watched only “Jesus” video and no other. So I shared about Jesus and Moses fasting 40 days. He responded without hesitation, “I am going to do video fasting for 40 days!”

He says he started praying every morning before he opens his clinic that God would do the healing.

Darrel Johnson shared this:

We were at a baptism service Sunday afternoon at the Japanese fellowship that meets at College Ave Baptist Church. This year they have had 8 baptisms including the 4 yesterday.

In addition, I met a man who has been here 20 plus years and owns a vegetable farm up the coast.  His  20 acre firm sells produce wholesale to the Asian retailers in the county.  It has been so attractive to the agriculture grads of Japan they have requested internships at the farm. The owners attend the church and many come along to the fellowship.  A number of them have become Jesus followers and baptized.   Most return to Japan after schooling is completed.

Debby Dale asks for prayer:

Himari is an 8-year-old who is a believer in Jesus Christ, and she is the only believer in her family.  Every time we talk, I am amazed at her understanding.  One day she looked at me sadly and said, "My dad and mom don't understand about Jesus."  Another day she said, "I pray in the shower every day for Jesus to tell me what to say to my parents."  Please pray for Himari's parents to accept Jesus.
