New Resources
There are several new postings on the RJC website. One is a new video about
“International Student Hosting.
PastorHideki Kusunori has translated into
Japanese the second and third verses of “As The Deer.” He also wrote a new worship song in
English and Japanese called “Glorify Your Name.” Interested? Let me know.
The other day at church I met two new
people who have Japanese parents or grandparents who are not interested in
the gospel. One resource that may be helpful is the DVD “God’s Fingerprints
in Japan.” It can stimulate their thinking to feel that perhaps the Creator
God loves Japan and Japanese. It is available at http://akaministries.tripod.com/aloha/id2.html .
Dr. Eiko Takamizawa
lectured at the Overseas Ministries Study Center in New Haven on “ Japanese
Religiousity and Resistance to Christian Mission
in Japan: An Historical Interpretation.” Thanks to David Sanabria you
can download the lecture at http://rapidshare.com/files/224449672/japanese.mp3 .
Japanese Churches Around the World
Operation
Japan, the prayer guide for Japan, reports that there are over 400
Japanese-speaking churches around the world. And there are at least 91 in
California, USA. One of those is the Rolling Hills Covenant Church in
Southern California. Pastor Yuji Uno shared this
exciting report: “We had 160 friends (parents and kids )
out at our outdoor Easter outreach event. Well over 100 were non-believers.
One of the reasons why we had a good turnout was that our non-believing friends
brought their friends.”
