A GREAT (free) CHRISTMAS GIFT: GIVING THE BOOK OF HOPE AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT is a great way to make the receiving of the Book of Hope special to the children and young people who receive it. Wrapping the Book of Hope in wrapping paper or rolling it up like a newspaper and tying it with a ribbon and explaining that the message in this book tells about the greatest Christmas present of all, God’s gift to us, is an excellent way to give out the Book of Hope.Whether you are having English class Christmas parties, Christmas Program outreaches, or other forms of Christmas outreaches, the Book of Hope is a tremendous gift to give to children or young people who have been impacted by your outreaches.Book of Hope is the story of Jesus, taken from the four gospels. It is available in two versions, the Children’s edition and the Youth edition. The Book of Hope is free. All you have to pay is postage from within Japan. The Children’s edition comes in boxes of 200 each, and the Youth edition comes in boxes of 100 each.TO ORDER the Book of Hope please contact us by EMAIL.
This is a 22 minute movie about a Christian samurai who has to decide between his family and his faith. It is designed for Japanese in Japanese with English subtitles. Available at Amazon.
Great Idea: Food Parties
Ministry Opportunity:
The King’s Academy (a junior and senior Christian high school in Sunnyvale, California) is looking for a missionary in Japan to host a high school missions trip in April of 2010. It will be a 10-day trip made up of ten outstanding junior and senior high school students who are interested in missions. There will be 2-3 adult chaperones along as well. The dates would be approximately April 3rd-13th with some flexibility. The purpose of the trip is, of course, to be of some service to the missionaries we visit–to help in some way. Another purpose would be to expose our students to the Japanese culture and the make them aware of GLOBAL outreach and also the spiritual needs of a country beside their own. If you are interested, or know of a missionary that might be interested, please respond to dreinman@tka.org

Mission Trips Questions
- A one-day RJC Conference, March 28th at Northshore Baptist, Bothell, WA. The tentative theme is “Preparing to Go” or “Journey to Japan.”
- Using the materials from this conference we want to develop an RJC Academy on-line study course to prepare those going.
- We would like your input on this exciting new training. Here is the simple questionnaire:
- Give us some detail about trips to Japan that you have been involved in.
- What kind of training material would have been helpful?
- What plans are you aware of for future ministry trips to Japan?
Prayer and Praise Items
- Pray for the 27th Japanese Christian Women’s Luncheon in Bellevue, WA on September 19th. Rev. Shohei Yamato will be speaking on “Where can Japanese people find salvation?”
- Two confess Jesus in Washington. This was a great team effort: Talk Time and English Bible at Northshore with Liz and Paul Godwin; Pacific Northwest JEMS Conference; conversations with Setsu Kuroda (JCFN); Passion of Christ Video. And now two students are professing their faith.
- A student from Tokyo came for a summer program in Minnesota. She came asking searching questions, went to church her first Sunday in Minnesota, Now she is back in Tokyo, confessing faith and attending a Japanese Bible class!
- There are a number of missionary candidates who are raising support to go to Japan. Evan and Audrey Eusey, Michael & Rina Vanderpoel and others. Please pray. For more information about the Euseys, please contact them at evan@yuushii.net
- Don’t forget the Equipper’s Conference, Dec 27 through Jan. 1st at Calvary Chapel Conference Center, Murrieta, CA.This conference is intended for:
