    1. THE BOOK OF HOPE:
    2. A GREAT (free) CHRISTMAS GIFT: GIVING THE BOOK OF HOPE AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT is a great way to make the receiving of the Book of Hope special to the children and young people who receive it. Wrapping the Book of Hope in wrapping paper or rolling it up like a newspaper and tying it with a ribbon and explaining that the message in this book tells about the greatest Christmas present of all, God’s gift to us, is an excellent way to give out the Book of Hope.Whether you are having English class Christmas parties, Christmas Program outreaches, or other forms of Christmas outreaches, the Book of Hope is a tremendous gift to give to children or young people who have been impacted by your outreaches.Book of Hope is the story of Jesus, taken from the four gospels. It is available in two versions, the Children’s edition and the Youth edition. The Book of Hope is free. All you have to pay is postage from within Japan. The Children’s edition comes in boxes of 200 each, and the Youth edition comes in boxes of 100 each.TO ORDER the Book of Hope please contact us by EMAIL.

    3. Movie: Good Soil.
    4. This is a 22 minute movie about a Christian samurai who has to decide between his family and his faith. It is designed for Japanese in Japanese with English subtitles. Available at Amazon.

    5. Evangelistic Internet Sites: Secrets for Life and Student in Japan

    Great Idea: Food Parties

  • We have had a few “Japanese Food Parties” where we invited the Japanese students and their friends to come teach us how to make authentic dishes. These parties have created multiple new friendships which I believe directly translate into things like the 3 Japanese students who signed up and paid money to spend a weekend with a bunch of Christians! (Steve Sakanashi)
  • Ministry Opportunity:

The King’s Academy (a junior and senior Christian high school in Sunnyvale, California) is looking for a missionary in Japan to host a high school missions trip in April of 2010. It will be a 10-day trip made up of ten outstanding junior and senior high school students who are interested in missions. There will be 2-3 adult chaperones along as well. The dates would be approximately April 3rd-13th with some flexibility. The purpose of the trip is, of course, to be of some service to the missionaries we visit–to help in some way. Another purpose would be to expose our students to the Japanese culture and the make them aware of GLOBAL outreach and also the spiritual needs of a country beside their own. If you are interested, or know of a missionary that might be interested, please respond to dreinman@tka.org .
