Talk Time is an easy, non-threatening way for internationals to practice English conversation and learn about a host country’s culture, and perhaps cultures of other participating internationals.

Fun With English

“Fun With English” is in its ninth year. Russ Baustian, after a English conversation ministry at Minami Urawa Baptist Church, began sending out weekly English notes to his former students and others. Please encourage your students to sign up for these by contacting Russ.

Welcome to “Fun With English”, a ministry of the English Classes of Minami Urawa Baptist Church.

Today’s word: “farm”, large acreage for growing vegetables, grain, fruit, animals for sale. “On Dale’s farm he grows many acres of corn and soybeans.”

Today’s idiom: “farm out”, to have another person or business do something for you. “Our teacher had so many test papers to read that she had to farm out half of them to a friend.”
