Talk Time for Japanese and Other Internationals

Talk Time is an easy, non-threatening way for internationals to practice English conversation and learn about a host country’s culture, and perhaps cultures of other participating internationals. Friendships are born around a table as host/volunteers provide a weekly time for internationals to practice conversing in the target language, in this case, English conversation in regularly held, free sessions. Activities outside Talk Time such as meals in an American home, a day at the fair, sports and recreation outings, and culture-themed events are a natural extension of a friendship-based, cross-cultural program.
