You can sign up to be a host family of an international student or visiting scholar through your local college. Most international students pay host families approximately $550 a month. Moreover, hosting provides a great opportunity to build relationships with students, and can open doors to share your world views, as well as to assist in the development of a future world leader before your student return to his or her home country.

For a comprehensive outline of the various hosting options, see Hosting options in the USA.
